What makes my application complete

Download an application packet, or pick one up at the Center for International Studies; or contact us to get going.

Your packet will instruct you to:

  1. Complete the Application Checklist
  2. Fill in the Information Sheet
  3. Complete the Academic Approval Form (what is this)
  4. Follow the Essay Instructions
  5. Complete the Enrollment Agreement Contract
  6. Provide a Current Transcript
  7. Submit the $75 Application Fee:
    • SCSU students - pay at Administrative Services 123 and attach your receipt to application (Account #900700)
    • Non-SCSU students - please attach check payable to “Center for International Studies.”

From another university wishing to attend a St. Cloud State program?

Many of our programs are open to non-SCSU students, contact an advisor to find out which ones at studyabroad@stcloudstate.edu.

Students with Disabilities

If you are a student needing reasonable accommodation for a disability who would like to be considered for services, please provide the Student Disability Services office with current medical documentation of your disability. If you have questions or wish to apply for services you may contact the SDS office at 320-308-4080 or stop into their office in Centennial Hall 202. You may also visit the SDS website at www.stcloudstate.edu/sds.

Next Steps

Acceptance into the Program

How you find out whether you are accepted on the program depends on the type of program in which you are applying. For St. Cloud State programs you will receive a written notification through the mail. Other programs through a third party provider may notify through other means such as email. An interview may be required for program admission.

Once accepted, what do I need to do before I go?

  1. Attend Pre-Departure Orientation
  2. Turn in all pre-departure forms to the Study Abroad Office.
  3. Provide proof of Health Insurance with world-wide coverage to the Study Abroad Office.
  4. Make the payment for the entire amount of program fees prior to departure or provide proof of financial aid coverage for entire program. Payment of program fees is made to the Business Services Office AS 123.
