Application Information
Application packets may be obtained in person at the Center
for International Studies, by email: studyabroad@stcloudstate.edu,
under "Print Application" on this page, or by calling (320)308-4287.
The application packet contains the following items:
- Application Form and Checklist: Turn
this sheet in with your application, but first use it to
make sure that you have every necessary item included.
Make sure to sign and date the form.
- Information Sheet
- Academic Approval Instructions
- Academic Approval Form: By filling out
this form you will clearly state the academic progress you
intend to make while studying abroad. Be sure to have your
academic advisor and department chair sign this form.
- Essay Instructions: This word processed
essay, from two to four pages long, states your purpose
for applying to a study abroad program.
- Enrollment Agreement and Contract: This
agreement comes in duplicate. Please keep one copy for
your own records.
- Scholarship Application (optional): By
completing this form and submitting a separate essay
addressing the questions outlined on the scholarship page,
you will be considered for scholarships available through
the Center for International Studies.
- A Current Transcript: Australia,
Germany Business/ Engineering and South Africa programs
require an official transcript that may be obtained at
Records and Registration in the Administrative Services
Building. All other programs may submit an unofficial copy
that can be printed from your account in the Online Registration
System.
- List of Any Foreign Language Classes:
Please include grade, instructor's name, and instructor's
phone number. Germany language, France and Chile are the
only programs that need to submit this list.
- $75 Application Fee: This fee must be
submitted with your application. Please make checks out
to "Center for International Studies."

* Applications are due the year before travel, i.e. studying abroad in Spring 2009? The application deadline is April 1st, 2008. Priority will be given to applications received by the deadline. Applications will be accepted after the deadline on a space available basis.
Students applying for any of St. Cloud State University's study abroad
programs must fill the complete application packet on or before the deadline
date. Applications received after the deadline date will be considered
on a space available basis.
