An “Alnwick-dote”

We fly away to the land of green and misty scene through dark and daylight hours.
We laugh and sing and smell the flowers.
See the hill and castle upon.
We see so much of days gone by, of men who fell in the land of green and misty scene.
The castle stands to this day on,
a home for us and many to come.
We come with awe and learn within.
What is England? Where is it now?
We travel North, East, South, and West, of the Percy Saga in which we grow.
We learn not legend, but fact and truth
in the land of green and misty scene.
Oh joyous day when sun shines bright,
In the land of green and misty scene.
