Student Life
Get Involved
There’s always something exciting to do, thanks to nearly 250 clubs and organizations. You’ll make friends, acquire skills and develop as a leader through social, professional, academic and service organizations. Or, you’ll just have fun with groups like the Ultimate Frisbee Club. Don’t see what you like? Start your own club or organization with help from the Center for Student Organizations and Leadership Development (CSOLD).
Fitness, aquatics, intramurals and outdoor opportunities are available through Sport Facilities and Campus Recreation. Students can use an array of outstanding facilities, including two pools, the field house, the turf at Husky Stadium and much more.
Have an idea for a fun event or an interesting speaker? Contact the University Program Board (UPB). Student-run UPB offers a variety of activities and entertainment, including speakers, trips, films, events, exhibits and nationnaly known performers. Take in a Minnesota Twins baseball game in Minneapolis. Explore campus arts exhibits. Experience fraternity or sorority life. Join your friends in one of our language and cultural organizations.
“One day I saw a flyer for Media Day and thought that sounded cool. I took my roommate and we actually met two local media anchors. I’ve taken a bunch of opportunities to go out and do new things that I wouldn’t do usually.”
