(SDS) provides support services for students with physical, mental, and/or cognitive disabilities covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Our goal is to provide students with special needs appropriate and reasonable accommodations to help them succeed at SCSU.
Based on student need and instructor / student / SDS staff consultation, the following services may be provided:
- priority registration
- sign language/oral interpreting
- note taking
- texts on tape
- tutoring
- alternative testing
- building orientation
- referrals to outside agencies
- support and advocacy services
An application for service and documentation of the disability is required. This service is located in B111 Atwood Center. Call 308-4080 (also TDD number) if you have questions or need additional information.
