The panel will explore the challenges of immigrant health care workers organizing for better wages and working conditions in a corporate nursing home. Nursing Assistants and Trained Medicinal Aides at a St. Louis Park nursing home won a campaign to form a union in January 2012. This victory came in the face of an aggressive intimidation and misinformation campaign from the corporate leadership of the nursing home chain. The panel will discuss the fears that immigrant workers must face during a union organizing campaign and how they can be overcome
