All participants must submit their Intent to Present and Abstract online

The deadlines critical to participation in the Student Research Colloquium on Tuesday, April 22, 2008:

Intent to Present:
February 15, 2008
Abstract:
March 1, 2008
March 6, 2008

For the Intent to Present deadline, students will need:

  • A title for their research project.
  • Type of presentation (panel, paper or poster).
  • Names of student presenter(s) and Faculty Sponsor(s) and contact information. If there is more than one student presenter for a research project, the name of the first student listed will be considered the primary contact person for that research project.
  • Preference for presentation time (morning, afternoon or evening).
  • Information concerning special requests for space or equipment needs.

For the Abstract deadline, student (s) will need:

  • A written abstract for their research project. An abstract is a brief summary of a student(s) research project. Reading of the abstracts by the colloquium attendees assists the attendees in deciding which panel, paper, or poster presentations they will attend. Abstracts must be reviewed and approved by the Faculty Sponsor prior to the online submission of the abstract by the student. The SRC Committee will not proofread abstracts. Abstracts should be one paragraph between 100 and 300 words with no figures. Abstracts will be published in the Colloquium Proceedings, which will be given to all SRC participants. Information on the format and requirements for abstracts can be found online.
