Things to DO
Search events offered by the multiple locations of Great River Regional Library. Enjoy book clubs, crafts, performances, story times, and more! Family friendly, free events for all ages will be provided throughout the summer.
Summertime by George! is a free concert and festival put on by the Rotary Club of St. Cloud at the newly renovated Lake George! The area will be transformed into a fun and active place every Wednesday with free live music from local and regional bands, local vendors, artisans, and a kid's zone for the entire family to enjoy! Enjoy kids activities throughout the summer as well as many family friendly events.
The Como Park Zoo & Conservatory are free to visit. Information on hours, parking, and other rental and policy information. The Events Calendar provides descriptions and times of events so you can make the most out of your day. Como Park Zoo & Conservatory requests a small donation, but it's optional.
Centennial Lakes Park in Edina has the most family friendly events with concerts and entertainment during the day and early evening. From June through August, cultural performances are held outdoors at the Maetzold Amphitheater at Centennial Lakes Park. Performances are free. Movies in the Park are shown at sunset on Thursday evenings throughout the summer.
Free Activities At Children's Stores
Local toy stores are great places to visit with children, and not just for shopping for toys. Stores like Creative Kidstuff hosts several fun events throughout their multiple metro locations. Wild Rumpus has animals to visit as well as free story times for babies through preschoolers every Monday morning. Free story times are also conducted at Choo Choo Bob's Train Store. Little engineers will be delighted with several train layouts in the rear of the store that are free to play with.
