Helping You and Your Family Thrive

The Student Parent Support Center supports the academic success and personal well-being of students with children by connecting them with campus and community resources. Staff will assist students with children find ways to ease financial burdens, access academic assistance, and connect with other Huskies with children.

St. Cloud State University is proud to be one of nine Minnesota colleges and universities to serve expecting and parenting students and their families succeed in accomplishing their educational goals via the Student Parent Support Initiative Grant.

Funding for the Student Parent Support Initiative is provided by the Minnesota Department of Health.

St. Cloud State University offers assistance to low-income parents in postsecondary education with on-campus child care services.

Services We Offer

  • 1 on 1 confidential meetings and support
  • Resources and referrals (academic, health, career, financial, etc.)
  • Assistance with problem solving, parenting, and life skills
  • Parenting workshops and education
  • Monthly family friendly events
  • Weekly Chat n' Chew events (includes FREE lunch)
  • Laptop loan program
  • Parent book and DVD resource library
  • Complementary diapers
  • Winter clothing drive and distribution items for those in need
  • Information about private lactation/nursing rooms throughout campus 
  • A place to meet other student parents
  • A safe place to ask questions being a student parent
  • Follow-up contact to ensure your success
