Description
The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) is an international professional organization founded in 1922 to promote the advancement and education of all children with special needs, including those who are gifted and talented. It is the most active and widely recognized association of special education professionals in the world. CEC is actively involved in lobbying local, state, provincial, and national legislation supporting the total rights of persons with exceptionalities. This group is not limited to special education majors, but open to any students who want to learn more about or work with students or individuals with disabilities.
