What will be happening?
The Institute will provide the following opportunities for SCSU faculty to:

Meet with “like-discipline” colleagues from Jonkoping University. (Share research ideas, scholarly activities, develop international networking opportunities for your students.)

Participate in site visits to Swedish schools or other public agencies. (Opportunities to meet with teachers, school officials, and government officials)
-
Explore various cultural and historical sites in this region of Sweden.
Costs?

Participants must make their own travel arrangements (housing will be arranged by Jonkoping University) and each person must pay all of their own expenses.
- plane fare (current estimates $800-$1000—try to book a deal)
- land travel ($100)
- shared hotel room ($60-75 per night) includes a huge breakfast
- meals ($30-50/day—how much do you eat?)
- The Registration fee of $150 will be used to pay for the services provided by Jonkoping University, speakers, and Institute/instructional materials. Any funds not used for these items will be returned to the participants.
What do I do if I’m interested in participating?

Completing the registration form and paying the $150 registration fee guarantees you a space (until we reach the max number of 13) Registration fees need to be received no later than April 1to be assured full participation.

Prepare an electronic copy of your vita. This will be shared with our contacts at Jonkoping University to help identify colleagues from like disciplines and with similar teaching/research interests.
