Centers and Support Offices

  • Minnesota Teacher Licensure Exams (MTLE) Center
    The MTLE Center supports St. Cloud State University students and alumni preparing for teacher licensure exams. Services include exam registration help, access to study materials and online resources, workshops, accommodation request support, and tutoring.

  • Vera W. Russell Curriculum and Technology Center (CTC)
    The Vera W. Russell Curriculum and Technology Center (CTC) provides print and non- print (technology and web-based) resources designed to support the academic programs within St. Cloud State’s School of Education. The CTC provides students, staff, and faculty a state of the art facility for investigating new methods and materials in education. Available resources include teaching materials and curriculum, children’s literature, robots, iPads, computers, SMART Board access, technology training, and professional development materials.

  • Office of Clinical Experiences (OCE)
    The Office of Clinical Experiences (OCE) partners with area school districts to secure quality field experience and student teaching placements for teacher candidates in the School of Education, in preparation for their roles as future educators. OCE is responsible for providing approximately 850 teacher candidates per semester with over 1,000 field and student teaching placements, in partnership with area school districts.

  • IGNITE: The Teacher Preparation Initiative (TPI)
    The Teacher Preparation Initiative works to maximize teacher effectiveness and increase student achievement by transforming and strengthening teacher education through collaborative partnerships between SCSU and P-12 school districts. TPI provides support for St. Cloud State University Teacher Education Graduates and novice teachers in TPI partner districts in the form of workshops, instructional coaching, and professional development resources.

  • Center for Doctoral Studies
    Students wishing to pursue advanced degrees have many options available through the School of Education.  In addition to graduate level programs offered by every department in the School of Education, the Center for Doctoral Studies offers two programs through the School of Education:  Educational Administration and Leadership and Higher Education Administration.
