How to Contribute
Three of the sociology scholarships are funded by endowed accounts established
with the SCSU Foundation. These scholarships are funded by interest earned
on money in the endowed account. Two of the endowments were established by
former SCSU sociology professors Herbert Goodrich and H.P. Lohrman. The other
was established by Arvid Hansen, in appreciation for the high quality of
education that his daughter, Lynn Hansen Gottwaldt, received at SCSU. The
Sociology Paper Award is funded by annual contributions to the Sociology
account with the SCSU Foundation.
You may contribute to any of the sociology scholarship accounts. To do so,
just designate that account when making your contribution to the SCSU
