Dr. Kristina Cantin


Kristina Cantin Sociology Professor

Dr. Cantin earned her Ph.D. from Washington State University in 2012. She has conducted research among the Carpatho-Rusyn population in northeastern Slovakia and southwestern Ukraine, where she studies cultural models of well-being, personhood, and ethnic identity along with the internal and external power dynamics that shape groupness and boundary-making in the region.

She teaches Social Psychology, Self and Society, Race and Ethnicity, Social Problems, Sociology of Religion, and Sociology of Gender
