Job History and Responsibilities:

I am Intervention Program Coordinator for the Mcleod Alliance for Victims of Domestic Violence, Inc. I have been there for 2 years. I do systems intervention, monitor system responses, provide advocacy to victims, and follow domestic violence related to criminal cases through the justice system.

This job has been my first full-time job following my college education.

How I use sociology in my job:

It has been very useful in understanding the roles of the agencies in the system and how they work together. It has also been useful in understanding and working with the behaviors, interactions, and personalities of my clients and those I work with.
