Dawn Mikkelson Biography

Since graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology in May 2008, I steered my career in the direction of public service. Immediately following graduation, I began graduate school with the Charles B. Rangel Center for Public Service at the City College of New York.

After two years of coursework in public service management and social policy and completing two public policy/advocacy internships with the New York Civil Liberties Union and National Disability Rights Network, I earned a Master's Degree in Public Administration in May 2010.

After receiving an MPA, I committed to over two years of national service with AmeriCorps. After ending AmeriCorps service in August 2013, I hope to secure employment in the public sector or continue my relationship with national service by directing an AmeriCorps program.
