Since graduating from Saint Cloud State University with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology, I have begun my Master's in Public Administration at The City College of New York with a specialization in social policy. The knowledge base of social issues I gained at SCSU provided the perfect transition into the writing and analysis of social policy.
I currently act as a research assistant for a CCNY professor. I am helping to assemble a workshop on urban youth issues to be presented to public officials in New York City. Additionally, I volunteer my time as a GED teacher for a college prep program in the Harlem neighborhood.
In order to fulfill the requirements of my graduate degree, I obtained an internship at the National Disability Rights Network in Washington, D.C. to be completed over the summer of 2009.
Upon the completion of my graduate degree at The City College of New York, I will pursue a J.D. degree in Human Rights Law.
