Congratulations Carmelle Adams-Case!

Carmelle has won the 2009 SCSU Distinguished Master's Thesis Award for her thesis titled: "Including (and Excluding) the 'Ally" in Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Identity Movements." It just made front page news in SCSU Grad News !

Her thesis will be nominated for the Midwestern Association of Graduate Schools Distinguished Thesis Award. Carmelle's thesis is the first thesis in the Social Responsibility Program to receive this award. Carmelle's committee included Stephen Philion (Chair), Jiping Zuo, Lindah Mhando and Linda Butenoff.

October 9th-11th, 2009

Professors Ajay Panicker, Elizabeth Scheel Keita, Paul Greider, and Stephen Philion participated in the 2009 Association for Applied and Clinical Sociology Conference in San Antonio. Sheila Lindstrom, a student in the Social Responsibility Program also attended.

Dr. Scheel Keita served as the Vice-President for the past 3 years.
