  • Originally from Ghana, Dr. Togo-Malm is a Professor in the Social Work Department with over 15 years of teaching experience. She received both her B.S.W. and M.S.W. from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada and her Ph.D. in Social Work at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Togo-Malm enlists an anti-racist and anti-oppressive pedagogy in her classroom and has over 20 years of experience working in domestic violence prevention, child welfare, and curriculum development and training.

    She has both global and domestic experience working with underserved populations in Japan, China, Ghana, Canada, and the United States. Her research interest includes anti-racist social work practice, multicultural education, community organizing, immigrant and refugee women’s health.
