Prior to teaching at St. Cloud State University, Dr. Whitford worked in the fields of Youth Services, School Social Work for the St. Cloud School District, and pastoral duties for the Lutheran church. In his 18 years at SCSU he has served the Department in the following roles: Instructor, BSW Field Coordinator, BSW Program Director, Department Chair, and MSW Program Director.
