Research interests and projects: baby boomers in retirement, older people and gambling, diversity in lifestyles in later life, women’s health issues, service-learning, support systems for families caring for people with Alzheimer’s disease, program evaluation and outcome research

Publication topics: older people and gambling, utilization of social services by older people living in rural communities, needs assessments of older people in rural Minnesota, senior centers, banking and the mature market, attitudes toward working mothers, survey of sociology alumni
