Karen Thompson

Karen Thompson’s scholarly interests focus on the myths we live by, homophobia/heterosexism, anti-ableism, racial oppression, and the interconnections between all forms of oppression. She develops learning environments and effective teaching strategies for the development of self-esteem and respect for human diversity, and challenges students to examine ways they contribute to oppression or ways to become agents of change. Teaching Areas: Racial Issues, Non-Oppressive Relationships, Understanding Oppression.
