Sister Chrispina Lekule
Sister Chrispina Lekule has worked with the Community Anti-Racism Education Initiative for the past two years as a graduate assistant, providing program support and logistics. As a student, she has excelled both academically and in her active involvement and participation in a diverse assortment of extracurricular activities. As a member of the St.Cloud State campus and the St.Cloud community, Sister Lekule serves as a team member for women’s empowerment and as a facilitator for the Conversation on Race, Action Learning Circles-Educational Focus and OMEKA organized by Create CommUNITY. She also is a member of the City of St.Cloud WARENESS Building Committee and has attended leadership conferences in Chicago, IL., Kansas City, MO., and East Africa.
In addition to her academic success, Sister Lekule has proven to be a leader and a change agent with the insight, vision and enthusiasm necessary to inspire others within the University and in the St.Cloud community. It is with great passion and dedication that she serves as facilitators and member of several community organizations: Create Community, the International Black Women Leadership Project, Elimu Africa and a cultural/faith sharing group. Through these experiences, Sister Lekule has come to be part of a community and how to live and accept all people. She whole-heartedly believes that community involvement is a way to develop leadership skills and cultivate qualities of value for building community.
