Visit Our World
Want to see our world?
Visiting St. Cloud State University is the best way for you to see if your
world fits our world. Wonder what St. Cloud State University is really like?
Ask our students. They’re not shy. They’ll tell it like it is—and
we’re confident you’ll like what they have to say. Do you already
know which of our more than 200 majors, minors and
pre-professional programs you
want to study? While you’re on campus, sit in on a class—and
even talk to a professor in your future area of study! You’ll be amazed
how accessible—and friendly—our faculty members are.
Year-round, we offer student-guided tours and an admissions
presentation every weekday. Saturday tours are available during the academic
year. Our campus is close-knit, so even on a chilly day you can get around
campus quickly!
During your campus visit:
- Visit Atwood Memorial Center, our student center, and check out the huge
wall map, prominently displaying the 80 countries our more than 1,000 international
students hail from—as well as the 20 countries our study-abroad
students have visited.
- While you’re at Atwood, enjoy a bagel and a cup of joe from Einstein
Bros. Bagels. Not into bagels and coffee? You’ll find something you
like at one of the many food vendors housed at Atwood, including Pizza
Hut, Subway, and Ultimate Baja, just to name a few!
- Take a walk along the Mississippi River, which borders the campus.
- Strap on some gear and try out the Mountain Dew
Xtreme Climbing Wall in the Student
Recreation Center.
- Schedule your visit when our NCAA Division I men’s or women’s
ice hockey teams are playing, or catch the Husky spirit by watching any
one of our nine men’s or 10 women’s Division II sports teams.
- Visit one of our nine residential communities and see what living on
campus is all about.
- Eat at one of the many restaurants or go shopping in the city of St.
Cloud, which was recently ranked the 11th most family-friendly city in
the nation by Reader’s Digest.
- While you’re in the area, consider taking in a show or a sporting
event in the Twin Cities—just about an hour’s drive from the
St. Cloud State University campus.

What our students have to say...
“Other schools I visited, when you walk up to people, nobody says anything.
When you’re standing in line, nobody talks to each other. But at St.
Cloud State, it’s like a little town. It doesn’t matter if you
don’t know the person. Everybody is really outgoing here. You can get
into a full conversation with somebody on the elevator. And next thing you
know, they’re inviting you to go and eat with them. There’s always
a connection.”
