Transfer Students - Transferring Credits

The general education program will be considered complete if you have completed an "AA" (Associate of Arts) degree, the Minnesota transfer (MnTC) curriculum or a Bachelor's degree. Students transferring credits from a technical college generally will transfer in a maximum of 16 credits. If a student is transferring from a MnSCU Technical College, the MnTC courses will be accepted for full credit in addition to the 16 technical credits. Music at St. Cloud State UniversityTransfer of additional credits will be based on a case-by-case evaluation. All credits that are accepted into St. Cloud State University must be college level and a grade of “C-“ or higher, unless part of the AA degree or MnTC.

Transcript Evaluation

A transcript evaluation is completed once the student has been admitted to St. Cloud State University. Please allow 2-3 weeks for the evaluation process. Your transfer evaluation sheet will be available at your  Advising & Registration Day.
