Spatial Analysis Research Center

The Spatial Analysis Research Center ( SARC ) at St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota is the leading provider of geo-spatial technology education in the upper Midwest. The Center cooperates with the Department of Geography and other academic departments and campuses to provide degree programs for both undergraduates and graduates. In addition, the Center works closely with Sponsored Programs to provide employment and educational opportunities for students through grants and contracts.

Dr. Robert O. Bixby Memorial Scholarship

Dr. Robert Bixby This memorial scholarship fund is established to recognize the significant contributions of Dr. Robert O. Bixby (1947 – 2003) in establishing and developing the Geographic Information Sciences (GIS) Program at St. Cloud State University (SCSU). The SCSU GIS Club, a student organization that was initiated, advised and constantly encouraged by Dr. Bixby, establishes this fund in his memory. One or more scholarships of at least $500 each will be awarded each year to students studying GIS at St. Cloud State .
