What is the difference between an icebreaker and a teambuilder?
An icebreaker is an activity designed to help people get to know each other and usually involves sharing names and other background information.
A team builder is a higher risk activity that is designed to help groups form bonds and become a team.
Benefits of Ice Breakers:
- Reduces student anxiety.
- It is a powerful means of fostering student-students interactions.
- It makes it easier for students to form relationships early in the semester so they can work together, both in and out of class
- Students are active participants versus passive participants from the onset
