Business LLC

Members of the Business LLC will have the opportunity to:

  • Engage in floor activities that relate to the business experience
  • Attend student organization/club meetings related to the Herberger Business School
  • Participate in a variety of career exploration activities such as career fairs, job shadows, and interest inventories
  • Take courses and study with other students living on the same floor

Members of the Business LLC will be expected to:

  • Live in the Business Living Learning Community located in Shoemaker Hall
  • Take the following courses in the fall semester: Entrepreneurship Basics I (HBS 199), Orientation to Business (HBS 111), Finite Math (MATH 196) or Intermediate Algebra (MATH 072) – depending on individual student placement
  • Take the following courses in the spring semester: Entrepreneurship Basics II (HBS 199) and Business Law (BLAW 235)

Learning Outcomes:

  • Recognize the admission requirements for each major within the Herberger Business School
  • Engage and collaborate with campus resources that support academic success
  • Increase confidence to pursue academic and career goals
  • Complete coursework related to the pre-business curriculum

Requirements to participate in Business Living Learning Community

  • Have identified Business as an intended area of study
  • Be an incoming first-year student
  • Have a 3.0 cumulative high school GPA
