Magic, Monsters, and Self

Members of the Magic, Monsters, and Self Identity Community will have the opportunity to:
•Live with fellow students in Sherburne Hall.
•Complete all DGS requirements in the first semester.
•Take courses from faculty who are engaged with helping students make the exciting transition from high school to college.

Members of the Magic, Monsters, and Self Identity Community will be expected to:
•Read the novels selected for the learning community.
•Participate in classroom discussions focused on both the texts and your personal development as a college student.
•Engage in a service learning project that will connect you to St. Cloud State and the greater St. Cloud Community.

Learning Outcomes

•Learn how to engage with a text from a variety of angles.
•Students will be able to draw connections between course work across disciplines and see how that affects their own lives and the well being of their community.
•Students will make connections to SCSU faculty, staff and fellow students.
•Students will be positioned to succeed both academically and socially at SCSU.
