Global Learning

 

Members of the Global Learning Community will have the opportunity to:

  • Expand your global perspective by interacting with students from over 80 countries,
  • Meet with the Foreign Language faculty and take classes in the building where you live,
  • Thrive in an atmosphere where difference are celebrated and be provided with opportunities for creative learning,
  • Support other international activities, programs, and events on campus,
  • And be assisted in your transition to college life as well as any education-abroad program you may choose

Members of the Global Learning Community will be expected to:

  • Help plan and participate in hall/community activities and events,
  • Personalize the community by helping to decorate individual doors and bulletin boards, designing t-shirts and community logos,
  • Possess an openness to diverse individuals and cultures,
  • And become involved in developing community standards and planning the future of the Global Learning Community

Learning Outcomes

  • A better understanding of other cultures and diverse people,
  • A foundation of Social Justice and the importance of equality,
  • An understanding for how to plan, market, and implement events for college students and the community
