Rates/Housing Costs : Semester Rates and Payment Information

Proposed Fall 2009-2010 Rates Include: Local telephone service, cable TV including the ResLife Cinema movie channel, ResNet (high speed wireless and hard line internet), newspaper readership program, RHA/community activity fees, and all utilities.
The following charts reflect estimated costs for the 2009-2010 academic year. Please note that these rates are subject to approval and change by the MnSCU Board of Trustees, Department of Residential Life, or State Legislature.

First semester freshmen are required to have a meal plan, and are not eligible for room only.

Lawrence Hall $2,055 per semester (additional amenities include air conditioning, in room sinks and modular furniture). With Husky Any Time Mel Plan: $3,151
Stateview Apartments $2,394 per semester (additional amenities include air conditioning and all kitchen appliances).  Meal plan option is available at an additional cost. 

*Note: The Husky 160 plan is the only plan that allows you an exchange rate of $5 per meal to Munch Money allowing you to use other campus dining options. Students on the Husky 160 plan can exchange their meals into Munch Money twice per semester: Sept. 7 – 18 and November 9 –13 for fall semester and January 18 - 29 and April 5 - 9 for spring semester. Your exchanged meal dollars will not roll over to spring semester.

Payments

The room and board contract is for the entire academic year.  Payments are made by the semester.  You have the option to pay the full amount with your tuition and fees, or follow the installment plan shown below (an additional $30.00 fee is assessed by Business Services for using the installment plan).  Refer to the class schedule for fee payment information.

RATES AND DUE DATES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

Room and board payments should be sent directly to the CASHIERS OFFICE, Administrative Services Building, St. Cloud State University, AS 122-CASHIERS OFFICE, 720 4th Avenue South, St. Cloud, MN  56301.  Please include the student’s name, customer number (Tech ID) or social security number and a note indicating payment is for housing.  All checks should be made payable to St. Cloud State University (SCSU).  Refer to payment information in the Semester Class Schedule booklet regarding credit card and on line payment.  Bills will not be mailed.  Students may check their account balance anytime at www.stcloudstate.edu.  Student ID and PIN numbers are required.
