MN Residency/Reciprocity
Students may establish eligibility for in-state tuition by demonstrating domicile in Minnesota. Students have the burden of proving domicile for purposes of in-state tuition.
Definition: A domicile is a person's true, fixed and permanent living place. Domicile is the place to which a person intends to return after temporary absences. A person may have only one domicile at a time.
Please download the Resident Tuition Classification Request (PDF: 2 pages / 10K) and return it to the Office of Records & Registration, 118 Administrative Services Building, 720 Fourth Avenue South, St. Cloud, MN 56301-4498. Please include appropriate documentation as indicated on the request form.
