St. Cloud State University offers a number of teacher licensure programs and is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education. The Minnesota Department of Education has made changes to the PRAXIS II requirements for Elementary Education, Chemistry, Earth/Space Science, Life Science and Physics licensure effective October 1, 2004.
