INTERACTIVE DEGREE AUDIT

What is the interactive degree audit?

The Degree Audit Reporting System, is a computer program that provides progress-toward-degree reports for students. A report shows all of the requirements needed to receive a degree, and which courses are used to satisfy those requirements. The following link is a presentation about how to interpret a degree audit.

How will I obtain a degree audit?

Degree audits are available for all students enrolled in a St. Cloud State University degree program. A Web version of your degree audit report is available to view or print online. The student should link to E-services. The interactive degree audit link is located on the left hand side of the page under Grades and Transcripts. Once selected, an audit will appear online..

How will I obtain a DARS audit following the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MTC) instead of the SCSU General Education Program?

You will need to send a request to the DARS Help Desk. Please specify your name, student identification number, major and that you would like to follow the MTC not the SCSU General Education Program.

What is a “What-if” degree audit?

This audit answers the question “What-if” I declare an additional major or change my major. The "What-if" degree audit will apply your completed course work and how your requirements for graduation will change. To obtain a “What-if” degree audit you can create a free account at u.select. A new account checklist is available below or in the Office of Records and Registration AS118.

u.select (transfer equivalencies)

This sheet is a guide for students setting up a new u.select member account. The u.select account is free and allows a student to view a “What-if” DARS audit, credit transfer equivalencies and course catalog information. 1. Go to the u.select website at https://www.transfer.org/uselect/
  2. Select “Create an Account ”
  3. Select the State of "Minnesota" and the School “St. Cloud State University" then choose "Next"

(By default, all new accounts will have ‘Student Access’. Access defines the permission granted on the u.select system. You must also define a role for your account. Each ‘Student Access’ account must have a ‘Role’ defined. The ‘Role’ is used for statistical and tracking purposes.)
  4. When finished with form select “submit”
  5. Now you will receive conformation that your u.select account has been established at St. Cloud State University. Your new u.select user ID will be displayed.
  6. Please remember your user ID and password. Write the information in a safe place. This information will be needed each time you log in.
  7. You can press “Go” and begin using the u.select services.

The system offers online help found on the upper right bar along with About u.select, Contact, Glossary, and Login.
