The next meetings are Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 3:30 p.m. in Oak room in Atwood and Wednesday, Oct. 21 in Mississippi room in Atwood. Dr. Melcher will be speaking at the Tuesday meeting about cross cultural psychology and the summer trip to Greece/Italy. Dr. Kulas will be speaking at the Thursday meeting.

Career/Job Fair Prep Party

Career Services is sponsoring a new event this year, "Career/Job Fair Prep Party" on Tuesday, October 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Atwood Ballroom.

At the Prep program, students will have the opportunity to:

  • Ask 17 different employers for advice and tips on their resume
  • Learn what employers expect them to know about their organizations (how and what to research)
  • Practice “telling their story” to actual employers AND receive feedback and advice on how to improve
  • Learn what “appropriate dress” means and receive professional dress and make-up advice from Macy’s consultants

2009 Northern Lights Psychology Conference

Celebrating Connection: Showcasing Student & Community Collaboration

The SCSU Service-Learning Advisory Committee and Volunteer Connection are hosting a celebration of student and community collaboration which occurs in an academic course or a student organization on Thursday, November 19 in Atwood Ballroom from 9 to 11 a.m. For the purpose of this event, student and community collaboration may include but is not limited to community-based research, field experiences, service-learning, volunteering, etc. Students interested in presenting need to register for Monday, Nov. 9.
