A record-breaking scholar-athlete
Caitlin Digney plans to graduate in December 2008 with a degree in Elementary Education, and then return to her hometown, Madison, Wis., to pursue a teaching and coaching career.
A passion for swimming brought Caitlin Digney to St. Cloud State University. She earned two swimming scholarships and set a University record in the 200-meter butterfly.
Her swimming coach, Jeff Hegle, is her mentor: “He answers all my questions, is available any time and even helps me with my classes.”
Digney recently earned the Olga B. Satre Hart Memorial Scholarship and the Schuyler C. Joyner Scholarship for her classroom work.
