Football player becomes an ad man and filmmaker
Ramon Nunez has worked on advertising campaigns for the Minnesota Lottery, Red Wing Shoes, BMW, Citibank, United Airlines and Starbucks.
Ramon Núñez ’00 came to St. Cloud State University to play for the football team. But, he kept his eye on another ball. “I was looking for a broadcast department that was accredited and would give me the knowledge and experience I needed. St. Cloud was able to bring that on the table,” he said.
At SCSU, Núñez earned an NCAA National Leadership Conference Award for talking with juveniles about post-jail opportunities and working with children at a summer camp.
After graduation he was hired by Fallon Worldwide, an international, award-winning advertising agency. In 2005, he joined Minneapolis-based Colle+McVoy, where is executive producer of the Broadcast Department, managing TV, radio, video and branded-content projects.
Núñez produced a documentary film called "Lotology" and is in post-production with a documentary he directed called "Concrete Jungles: The True Story of Street Kids in America."
