Search Advisory Committee Updates
January 22, 2007
The St. Cloud State University Presidential Search Advisory Committee, chaired by Metropolitan State University President Wilson G. Bradshaw, held its third meeting on Monday, January 22, 2007, on the St. Cloud State University campus. The committee met for approximately four hours, and was joined by Dr. Jan Greenwood of Greenwood & Associates.
The search process has attracted a strong pool of applicants and nominees. The process of reviewing candidates is continuing as planned. The committee continues to work on a timeline that should result in a recommendation by the Chancellor to the Board of Trustees in mid- to late spring.
Once the finalists have been identified, the campus community and the community at large will have an opportunity to meet and interact with each candidate during the campus visits. Until then, the committee is at a very sensitive stage in the search process. Members are working collectively to maintain the integrity of the search process, including the high level of confidentiality needed to retain a high-quality candidate pool, in order to advance the long-term interests of St. Cloud State University and its community.
The next committee meeting is scheduled for February 3, 2007.
