I am inviting you to join me along with leaders of regional colleges and universities to explore and exchange ideas for approaching the internationalization of our campuses in more effective ways. In these times of global economic and political challenges, it is more vital than ever that we provide the environment and opportunities for students from all cultures to be exposed to a broad range of international perspectives and traditions. This forum, which grew out of St. Cloud State University’s special partnership with Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, Port Elizabeth, South Africa, will bring together institutional leaders who seek innovative, efficient and rewarding ways to integrate international education into the fabric of our institutions and help prepare our students to live and work in concert with others in our global society and to meet the challenges of living and working effectively in the world of today and of the future. Please join us as we initiate these important discussions.
