Adjunct Instructors in Political Science
The SCSU Department of Political Science seeks to create a pool of talented college level instructors across the major subfields of: Political Theory, American Government and Politics, Public Administration, Comparative Government, and International Relations.
Candidates must possess at minimum, a master’s degree in political science or closely related field. ABD or Ph.D. in political science or closely related field preferred. A master’s in public administration (MPA) or related field applicable to particular courses will be acceptable for public administration courses/positions and a law degree for public law courses/positions.
Candidates must demonstrate qualifications to teach specific courses included in a particular adjunct opening by some combination of graduate level coursework, college level teaching experience, and/or research.
Previous college level teaching experience preferred.
Must demonstrate potential proficiency in oral and written communication with college level students.
Candidates will have demonstrated ability to teach and work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds.
