Student Parking Permit Eligibility

  • Sales and Privileges
    • Permits are non-transferable to other individuals.
    • Vehicles must be registered under the issued permit to be valid.
    • Students enrolled spring semester will receive an email sometime in April wiith instructions on the process for applying online for a parking permit.. Students who have been assigned to a specific lot from the pre-registration (permit on-line application) must purchase their permit by the date listed on the email received during spring semester.. Failure to purchase the permit by the deadline date will result in re-assignment of that space to those on the waiting list.
    • Evening permits are always available and may be used in all lots after 3 p.m. Mon-Thurs with the exception of north H-Lot, F-Lane, two east rows of P-Lot, U, S, A, E, Q, metered and pay lots.
    • Permits must be hung from the rear view mirror and must be in plain view.
    • Resident Hall permits are assigned with priority given to students who have more terms in living in the resident halls. Ties are then prioritized according to credit hours earned. You must pre-register by deadline to be eligible.
    • Lack of space is not considered a valid excuse for violation of regulations and policy. Temporary permits and space will be available should your assigned lot be full.
    • Refunds are pro-rated.
  • Student Waiting Lists
    • Students are placed on waiting lists, which are new, each year. If you pre-register online for parking you will automatically be placed on waiting lists for the lot(s) you did not receive an assignment in. Priority is given to residence hall students who have lived the most terms in the residence halls. Commuting students are given priority based on the number of credits earned. After the registration deadline, it is based on date and time the registration card is received at Public Safety.
