Institutional Research Report Guide
Student of Color Enrollment
The Student of Color (SOC) Enrollment report displays the 30th day headcount enrollment of both undergraduate and graduate students of color. Students of color fall into one of the following ethnicity categories:
- American Indian or Alaska Native
- Black or African American
- Chicano/a or Latino/a
- Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander
- Two or More Races
Although international students may fall under one of these ethnicity categories, they are not considered students of color and are categorized as international students. Students with White or Unknown ethnicity are also not included.
Beginning with fall 2012, the category of "Two or more races" was included in reports. Prior to that, ethnicity was reported based on a student's primary ethnicity. This change has lead to an increased and more accurate number of students of color reported at St. Cloud State.
Only students enrolled in one or more credits are counted. High school students enrolled for St. Cloud State credits are counted.
