Strategic Planning Committee Minutes
February 1, 2001, 7:45 a.m. St. Croix
Members Present: Jim Bertram, John Burgeson, Marlene DeVoe, Judy Foster, Bonnie Hedin, Jeanne Hites, Judy Kilborn, Pat Krueger, Arthur Mehrhoff, Glen Palm, Mike Pesch, Mary Soroko, Karen Thoms, Addie Turkowski, Jay Vora, Fred Walker, Brenda Wentworth
Members Absent: Deb Binsfeld, Debra Japp, John Palmer, and Eric Wimberger
Support Staff: Subimal Chopra and Lucie Schwartzkopf
Guest: Chunsheng Zhang, Academic Distinction Subcommittee member.
- The December 7, 2000, minutes were approved with one revision: "Recycled
newsprint" will substitute for "butcher paper". The January
18, 2001, minutes were approved with no revisions.
- Theresia Fisher, Chairperson of the Mediation Coordination Committee,
and Sharon Cogdill, Mediator Coordinator and Liaison to the mediation
committee, were present. They requested to meet with the Strategic Planning
Committee after a meeting with President Saigo on January 11, 2001.
Lance Teachworth, Commissioner Of The Bureau Of Mediation Services,
and Barbara Blackstone with the Minnesota Office of Dispute Resolution,
were also present at the meeting with President Saigo. They brainstormed
ideas on how the program can be incorporated into the infrastructure
of St. Cloud State University. Discussion followed on past accomplishments
and direction of the Mediation Coordination Committee. They asked that
this Mediation Coordination Committee be incorporated into the Strategic
Plan. The Strategic Planning Committee agreed to discuss it at a later
date.
- A "KPI Definition and Measurement" handout was distributed. Subcommittees divided into groups and spent 20 minutes discussing KPI definitions.
