Search the following online funding opportunity databases and/or register for daily email funding alerts targeted to your specific interests.
InfoEd International’s SPIN/GENIUS/SMARTS
SCSU’s subscription to InfoEd International SPIN.Plus allows faculty and staff to use three different services: SPIN, GENIUS, SMARTS. The SPIN database provides information about more than 1,200 sponsoring agencies, which together offer over 11,000 separate funding opportunities. The GENIUS database allows scholars and researchers to create profiles about their interests and expertise or explore possible partnering opportunities by searching the profiles of others. SMARTS matches GENIUS profiles with SPIN funding opportunities and delivers automatic daily updates by email. These tools may be easily accessed from any campus computer.

Grants.gov
Twenty-six Federal grantmaking agencies award more than $400 billion in grants each year through over 900 individual programs. Grants.gov is the most comprehensive source for information about Federal government-wide grant opportunities. You may search for opportunities or subscribe to receive email notifications about new grant postings.

Minnesota Grantmakers Online
MGO is the largest and most comprehensive online database of Minnesota foundations and corporate grantmakers, with information on more than 1,300 funding organizations and 85,000 grants. This database allows searching by grantmaker or by past grants. Please contact our office for more information.
FoundationSearch/BIG Online
A product of Metasoft Systems Inc., FoundationSearch is a powerful database driven tool for identifying private funding sources and analyzing their historical giving trends. FoundationSearch provides access to indexed and fully-searchable IRS Form 990PF returns representing all U.S. private foundations (over 75,000) and spanning their most recent tax reporting years.
