Your orientation programming at SCSU starts with your Advising & Registration Day and continues through Welcome Weekend & Husky Kick-Off!
Please check out the Student Schedule as well as information specific for Transfer & Non-Traditional students. In addition to Welcome Weekend (Orientation) programming, SCSU has the following program requirement:
Respect and Responsibility Program
As a St. Cloud State University student, you are now part of a vibrant and diverse campus community. To help foster a welcoming and safe community, we require that all new students complete the Respect and Responsibility program as part of their ongoing Orientation. You will receive more information on part one and two of the program through your HuskyNet e-mail account. If the program is not completed by the deadline noted in the email a hold will be placed on your registration for the next semester.
Part One: Informed on Sexual Assault is an online educational course that addresses the issue of sexual harassment, sexual assault, and dating violence on the college campus. You will receive an email sent to your HuskyNet account from the Women's Center with instructions and the code needed to access this course. We encourage you to complete this course prior to classes starting if possible.
Part Two: Community through Diversity is a one-hour long on-campus workshop on creating a caring and respectful community. Information on registering for a workshop will be sent to you through your HuskyNet e-mail during the first weeks of your first semester. A workshop will be included in the Orientation on January 13.
For more information on the Respect and Responsibility Program, visit www.stcloudstate.edu/sld/respect and if you have questions about Part Two, Community through Diversity, please e-mail respect@stcloudstate.edu.
All new entering students are charged a fee for Orientation at SCSU.
