Orientation at SCSU starts with your Advising & Registration Day and continues through Welcome Weekend & Husky Kick-Off!
Please check out the Student Schedule as well as information specific for Transfer & Non-Traditional students. Parents, families and friends have a role in your transition and success at St. Cloud State University so programming is available to answer their questions and help provide resources to support you in your academic journey.
Thanks for an outstanding Welcome Weekend @ SCSU!
Information on Spring 2013 Orientation will be posted this fall.
In addition to Welcome Weekend (Orientation) programming, SCSU has the following new student program requirement:
As a St. Cloud State University student, you are now part of a vibrant and diverse campus community. To help foster a welcoming and safe community, we require that all new students complete the Respect and Responsibility program as part of their ongoing Orientation. You will receive more information on part one and two of the program through your HuskyNet e-mail account. If the program is not completed by the deadline noted in the email a hold will be placed on your registration for the next semester.
Part One: Informed on Sexual Assault is an online educational course that addresses the issue of sexual harassment, sexual assault, and dating violence on the college campus. You will receive an email sent to your HuskyNet account from the Women's Center with instructions and the code needed to access this course. We encourage you to complete this course prior to classes starting if possible.
Part Two: Community through Diversity is a one-hour long on-campus workshop on creating a caring and respectful community. Information on registering for a workshop will be sent to you through your HuskyNet e-mail during the first weeks of your first semester.
For more information on the Respect and Responsibility Program, visit www.stcloudstate.edu/sld/respect.aspx and if you have questions about Part Two, Community through Diversity, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
All new entering students are charged a fee for Orientation at SCSU.
Students needing an accommodation to participate in the Welcome Weekend activities should contact the First Year & Transition Programs office at: email@example.com or (320) 308-2941. Please allow a minimum of one week advance to accommodate your request.
