Step 4: Cascade plan throughout the university
The next phase of planning will be the development of plans at the unit/college level that respond to and are supportive of the University’s strategic plan. The units/colleges will be expected to identify those objectives from the University’s plan that they believe their unit/college has a responsibility to support. They will develop corresponding objectives and performance measures that constitute that unit’s/college’s strategic plan. Once the unit/college as completed its plan, the offices and departments in that unit/college will be expected to develop their own supporting plan using the same process. Representatives from the Strategic Planning Committee are available to help with the process, and it is highly recommended that these representatives be used to ensure continuity of the process.
