Request for Out-of-Session Testing
The Board of Teaching has coordinated with Educational Testing Service (ETS) for authorization for some candidates (in selected fields) to register for specific tests when “more than one test” is required for any given license and there is a conflict in the sessions when the tests are offered. ETS refers to this arrangement as Out-of-Session Exception Processing. This exception is made for candidates who are required to take more than one test for the single field. (Example: K-6 candidates must complete a specialty test along with the elementary content knowledge test (offered in the same session).
Presently, Out-of-Session registration is available for the following groups of licenses and tests:
GROUP 1
Elementary Education: CK (10014)
AND
Middle School English Language Arts (10049)
Middle School Science (10439)
French (10171) as a K-8 specialty
GROUP 2
German (30182)
AND
Principles of Learning and Teaching K-6 (30522)
Principles of Learning and Teaching 5-9 (30523)
Principles of Learning and Teaching 7-12 (30524)
GROUP 3
Physics: Content Knowledge (10265)
Middle School Science (10439)
