Teachers of Color Scholarship Project
The Teachers of Color Scholarship Project utilizes the resources of the School of Education and the State of Minnesota to assist people with diverse backgrounds to complete a four-year degree and obtain a Minnesota teaching license. We recruit people who have personal experiences in communities of color with an interest in being a teacher, school counselor or administrator.
The major goal of the Teachers of Color Scholarship program is to increase the graduation rate of students with diverse backgrounds who will teach in Minnesota schools. The broader goal is to increase the number of people of color with a Minnesota teaching license.
