In addition to other grants and scholarships, the creation of jobs as the foundation is a necessary component for success. The job/internship opportunity also creates an image of St. Cloud State University students of color as hardworking people with good value systems who pull their own weight and can serve as good role models for all children in Central Minnesota.

The goal is to develop job/internships that allow student of color to have an off-campus job/internship in their field of interest that provides financial support. The students develop skills to interact with people of the dominant culture in ways that enhance the student’s overall effectiveness in managing people and creates a positive learning experience for all.
