Enrollment Information
Applying to the St. Cloud State University (SCSU) Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is a separate process from applying to St. Cloud State University. For information on applying to the university please contact the Office of Admissions at 1-877-654-7278 or at scsu4u@stcloudstate.edu.
You are eligible to apply for admission to the nursing program if you are a currently enrolled/admitted SCSU student and you have all of the preadmission courses either completed or in progress. Students who have met the preadmission course requirements and are ready to apply to the major program, please continue with the admissions process. Prerequisite Courses
Students are required to successfully complete all prerequisite courses with a grade of C (2.00) or better and have an overall prerequisite course GPA of 2.75 or higher. No prerequisite course may be taken S/U. If a prerequisite course grade is C- or below, this course must be repeated.

1 Placement exam required. Some students will need BIOL 151 prior to BIOL 202. BIOL 202 is only offered Fall Semester; Biology 204 is only offered Spring Semester.
2 Placement exam required. Some students will need CHEM 140 prior to CHEM 141. Chemistry 141 is offered Spring and Summer Semesters and only offered online during Fall Semester.
Transferring Courses to SCSU
The Department of Nursing Science will accept equivalent courses transferred from other institutions, provided SCSU has determined the equivalency. You can find more information about course equivalencies by checking the Minnesota Course Applicability System (www.mncas.org) or by checking with the Student Services Coordinator in the Nursing Department.

Admission to the Major
The application deadline for admission to the nursing program is June 1. Your application is complete only when all materials have been received by the Department of Nursing Science. It is the student’s responsibility to be certain all materials are received by the due date. Late and incomplete applications are not reviewed. Emailed applications will not be accepted.
