Farmersí market connects campus and local growers

The Atwood Memorial Center Farmers’ Market, a new collaboration between growers and the university, promoted sustainability, health and wellness by making locally grown foods available to students, employees and the community.
The market, which offered vegetables, fruits and flowers and more, ran Mondays from Aug. 31 through Oct. 5. Eleven vendors including the St. Cloud State Community Garden and Sodexo Food Service participated. Plans are to continue the market in 2010.
