G.I. Jobs magazine recognized St. Cloud State’s commitment to supporting veteran students by naming the institution to its Military Friendly Schools list. The list honors the top 15 percent of universities, colleges and trade schools in the nation.
Honorees were selected through a survey of more than 7,000 institutions. The survey measured efforts to recruit and support veterans, including on-campus programs and academic credit for service.
St. Cloud State has more than 500 student veterans, the largest student veteran population among the 32 schools in the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system. They and their families can receive mentoring, advice and assistance with benefits and other paperwork at the new Veterans’ Resource Center in the Administrative Services Building. The St. Cloud State Student Veterans’ Organization also provides information and camaraderie.
